Requirement for New Member Applicants
Membership candidates must:
- Attend a club meeting, virtually or in person
- Fill out the membership application.
- Obtain the sponsorship of two current ORKC members; their signatures are required on the application. One member and one personal reference will suffice, especially if you are new to the area.
- Attend two additional club meetings and perform 10 hours of volunteer service to receive access to the ORKC campus; reduced class fees are available after one year of membership
Submit the application with your signature and annual dues of $25 (one vote) (plus trophy donation or fee for Woofer by USPS, if applicable).
Requirement for Annual Membership Renewal
Renewal
To renew, members must:
- Pay Annual Membership Fees ($25)
- Complete in full the Renewal Application .
- Indicate any changes to the renewal, address, email, or phone number.
Access to Additional Benefits
If you would like to receive additional benefits, reduced class fees and access to the ORKC campus for practice/training you need to:
- Attend at least two (2) club meetings: board or membership, virtually or in – person
- Complete a minimum of 10 (ten) hours of volunteer service to the club, on an annual basis
- Hours of service and meetings attended are to be submitted using the spreadsheet on the members only portion of the website
- Turn in the spreadsheet to the Training Director
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Maintenance of the ORKC buildings/property and conducting dog events are labor intensive activities. We cannot schedule/host events and shows WITHOUT volunteers.
- There are many opportunities to perform volunteer service.
- If you are unable to perform volunteer hours or attend meetings and would like to receive the additional benefits, please submit a letter of explanation to the ORKC Board via the Membership Chair: [email protected].
